Volunteer Mentors Needed for Women in Tek Network

The Asia Foundation (TAF) Cambodia is seeking committed, qualified and experienced volunteer mentors to mentor 18 young women entrepreneurs in technology over the next three months.  The Asia Foundation has conducted a needs assessment with each entrepreneur, to highlight their specific mentoring needs.  Mentors will provide a regular tailor-made mentorship program to one young women entrepreneur to support their businesses.   This effort is part of The Asia Foundation’s Women in Tech Network project which is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through PACT Cambodia’s WE Act Project. 

Job Description

Mentor Expectations:

Qualified mentors will 

  1. Coach/mentor young women entrepreneurs in the field of technology to assist their business to grow and/or strengthen their business leadership 

  1. Conduct two mentoring sessions (1 – 1.5 hour per session) per month to at least one of the young women entrepreneurs in technology 

  1. Receive an initial two-hour training presented by The Asia Foundation on the expected guidelines to being a mentor 



Mentors should be qualified in the following fields

  • Life Coach 
  • Accounting 
  • Technology/innovation 
  • HR/Talent Acquisition 
  • Business Development  
  • Digital Design and Strategy 
  • Robotics  
  • Experience in mentorship – international and English speaking mentors are welcome to apply 


  • Willingness to commit 23 hours (2 sessions) per month to mentor at least one woman entrepreneur 
  • Willingness to conduct mentoring online or virtually with young woman entrepreneur. 

As this is a voluntary assignment, mentors will be incentivized to be active participants in the project and stay engaged with their mentees through the following ways:  

  • – High-profile catch-up/ networking opportunity with the US Embassy 

  • – Recognition and appreciation during networking event 

  • – Certificate of Appreciation
